hormone imbalance

Question by z: hormone imbalance or endometriosis?
I have been having inter menstrual bleeding for 1 8 months sometimes quite heavy. I have also been experiencing bowel pain and bladder pain when needing to go, This is not just during my actual period either. I went to my GP who ruled out infections and STDR 1 7;s and she advised due to the bowel pain that it was likely to be endometriosis and referred me to Gynae.
I went to see the gynae and she didnR 1 7;t even examine me and just said bowel pain is not connected and that it is just a hormonal imbalance . How can she know this without performing any more tests? What is the difference between a hormone imbalance and endometriosis? Confused and upset She insisted that i take the pill to sort it out even though i have epilepsy and cannot take the pill as it stops my seizure meds from working.
